Now that lockdown is starting to ease, many of us are looking for big days out and local events in Sheffield – and why not, it’s been a long time coming! Owlerton Stadium is pleased to be launching exciting events for you enjoy in the coming months – you can finally head down to the Stadium for family fun and those long-awaited get-together with friends. Exclusive Father’s Day Event

On Sunday 20^th June, why not treat your Dad to a day at the races? Owlerton Stadium is pleased to present a booking-only Father’s Day special, where all Dads can claim a free bottle of Coors Light on arrival, and where the whole family can take advantage of our fantastic-value restaurant deals.

For just £25 per person, you’ll be able to enjoy a three-course meal from our specially selected Father’s Day Menu in our Panorama Restaurant, complete with a racecard and dedicated tote runner. It’s £12.50 each for the kids, too, which is amazing value for an exclusive event! Don’t worry – you’ll still have access to our amazingly popular 6 Pack Plus deal too, where you can get two bets, a guaranteed seat, racecard, basket meal and drink, all for just £12 per person!

Gates open on Father’s Day at 11:30am with the first race due to start at 12:30pm. Keep in mind, that we won’t accept general admission on the day. That means you’ll be able to book ahead for an exclusive Father’s Day treat! It really is one of the highlights of what’s on in Sheffield this spring.

Speedway Returns!

Have you missed Owlerton’s brilliant Speedway events? So have we! We’ve been hosting Speedway racing to our visitors for decades so we certainly cannot wait for the Sheffield Tigers to return to racing at the Stadium!

Later this year, we’ll be thrilled to welcome you all back to some local Speedway fun that’s unrivalled across the region. As we will be keeping in line with government guidelines for opening and entertainment, we will keep Tigers fans updated on what you can expect from Sheffield Speedway in the coming months.

For now, keep an eye on our social and website events pages. As soon as we get the green light, it’s go, go, go. Owlerton Stadium is going to be the jewel of Sheffield events for sports fanatics once again!

Owlerton’s Outdoor Cinema

Another part of everyday life we know you’ve all been missing is going to the cinema. To help get you back in the mood for some summer fun, we’re pleased to announce we’re launching Outdoor Cinema at the Stadium, showing some much-loved family favourites, with a hot food stand and outdoor bar.

Enjoy movie classics for the whole family with your picnic blanket on our outdoor green. To kick things off on Wednesday 18^th August, we’ll be showing Disney’s The Lion King, the original animated classic from 1994. Join us the day after and you’ll be taken back to the 50s to enjoy legendary musical Grease. 43 years after its original release in 1978, Grease remains a firm family favourite!

We’ve Missed You All!

We can all agree that it’s been a long, gruelling year for just about everyone. Thankfully, fingers crossed, things are turning a corner and that means we can safely reopen the Stadium and all of our wonderful Sheffield events for you to book in and enjoy for the season to come. Of course, while the above offers a glimpse at the best upcoming events Sheffield families can look forward to, Owlerton greyhound racing will be back for our patrons to enjoy from 18^th May.
