Yorkshire’s leading greyhound track will be celebrating all things American for this year’s prestigious Ladies Day event. Owlerton Greyhound Stadium will be turned into a sea of Stars and Stripes on Tuesday 7 July as it hosts an ‘American Party’, in aid of much loved Sheffield charity, St Luke’s Hospice. Support for the glamorous Ladies Day event, which brings women together for an evening of top class racing, entertainment and dining, has also come from headline sponsor Burrows.
John Gilburn, managing director of Owlerton Stadium, said: “Ladies night is always a great event for us here at Owlerton, a highlight in our racing calendar. “We’re unique in the sense that we’re the only Greyhound Stadium in the country to hold an annual Ladies Day and this year it’s sure to be bigger and better than ever. “It’s fantastic to be able to support brilliant local charities such as St Luke’s, too – and in a fun-filled way. It’ll be great to see an American-themed night here, especially as it is so close to Independence Day!”
There will be a number of deals on offer, including the £10 six pack deal which includes admission, race card, and a bottle of Coors Light or glass of house wine, two bets and an American burger meal. For £25 per person, guests can enjoy a three course meal in the restaurant with free admission, racecard and bucks fizz reception or a hot and cold buffet in an executive box for 12 or 24 people with free admission, race card and buck fizz reception. The party starts from 6pm and men are also welcome to come and join in the fun.
