Yorkshire’s premier racing venue has made a significant appointment to its senior management team.
Owlerton Greyhound Stadium, on Penistone Road, Hillsborough, Sheffield, has appointed Dave Brayshaw, aged 33, as senior racing manager, to oversee all aspects of the racing department including racing regulations and the stadium’s trainers.
Dave, originally from Hyde in Greater Manchester, joins after spending 10 years at Manchester’s Belle Vue stadium, where his most recent role was racing manager.
He said: “I’m delighted to be joining such a forward-thinking business in Owlerton Greyhound Stadium.
“We’re really looking forward to 2018 – I’m joining at an exciting time. I will be looking to maintain the highest possible standards – set by an already outstanding staff roster here.”
Dave, who has also spent time in the horse racing industry during his career, added: “I’ve joined a young, enthusiastic, talented team – and one which, with the right management, will continue to shine.”
