Annie Seymour, one of our hardworking tote team members, has once again shown her amazing dedication to charity by raising a whopping £2,595 for Macmillan Cancer Support during the coffee morning she hosted in September.
This event has become a yearly tradition thanks to Annie, whose passion for supporting Macmillan shines every year. The coffee morning brought together our staff, customers, and people from across Sheffield, all helping to raise an incredible amount that will go towards helping those affected by cancer.
Local Businesses Rally Behind Annie’s Raffle
A big part of the success was the raffle, with generous donations from local businesses McDonald’s, All Seasons, Veezu, The Rivelin Pub, Dunkin’ Donuts, and Sainsbury’s, to name a few. The great mix of prizes created a buzz, attracting lots of interest and support from everyone who attended.
Annie said,
“I have been hosting the Macmillan coffee mornings for over 7 years, and always held a raffle receiving some wonderful raffle prizes donated from many local businesses near and far. My goal is always to beat the previous year’s target, which I have successfully done. Again, this year’s coffee morning was a brilliant success with colleagues assisting on the day and selling cakes donated by colleagues, friends and family. I would like to thank everyone who supported me on the day. Hope to see you all next year!”
Helping the 3 Million People in the UK Living With Cancer
All the money raised from the coffee morning will go directly to Macmillan Cancer Support, helping them continue their vital work by providing practical, medical, and emotional support to cancer patients and their families. Donations like this are so important for them to keep offering their services for all types of cancer and even the cost of living crisis.
Owlerton Stadium’s management couldn’t be prouder of Annie and her dedication, saying her efforts show our strong community spirit and commitment to supporting good cause; explaining “Annie’s coffee morning is something we all look forward to, we’re so appreciative of having such a warm and philanthropic member of the Owlerton team. Each year, we manage to do a little bit more, and can’t wait to see what Annie can achieve next time”.
